The National Suicide Hotline surveys kids about their genders and sexualities.
They give kids eleven genders to choose from or enable them to make up their own. More than one gender can apply. The age survey starts from ages 0-10.
The National Suicide Hotline, which is now 988, can be accessed through the schools. However to survey kids without parent consent is actually against the law. (screen shots of the survey given to kids from the National Suicide and Crisis Lifeline are below and a description of the law) When minors call or text saying they are confused about their gender or sexuality, the crisis counselors recommend them to the Trevor Project.
According to SB 316, the National Suicide Hotline is required to be on every students’ ID card in California for grades 7-12 effective October 2020.

In many California School Districts, such as Santa Ana Unified, the month of February is Suicide Prevention Month.
The Motto: WE CARE is promoted with the suicide hotline with Red Hearts, LGBTQ+ Rainbow Hearts and Gender Identity Blue and Pink Hearts.
These stickers were provided in K-8 schools for students.
