Gender Books in Elementary Schools Cause Gender Confusion in Children

The SAUSD board and California Teachers Union is pushing these primary books in our schools teaching children that their gender can change from day to day or year to year and their pronouns can change like the weather based on their feelings. They are call this "inclusion" however many people see it as "confusion".    Parents were never notified these books came in our Santa Ana elementary schools.

Parents have not been told that the Q in LGBTQ means QUESTIONING.  Therefore, if a young child,, starts "questioning" their gender  due to these books, the child will be referred to a counselor or mental health worker who
has been trained to only "affirm" a child's chosen gender with or without parent knowledge or consent.

Parents have not been informed about Identity Support Plans being used to hide a child's gender, name or pronouns in school based on a child's request.  Parents have not been told that schools are partnering with agencies that provide "gender affirming services" to students such as the OC LGBTQ Center and CHOC Hospital.

According to a public records request, 260 students in SAUSD have requested to change their birth gender at school from 2017-2024 starting as young as 4th grade.
